Whoever wrote it, its a fine piece of music and played magnificently by the massed bands. The other version to listen to is The Band of the Royal Irish Regiment

there ARE vocals – we sang it once. There really is. I thought this was a Scottish Tune written by SCOTS?

Das Stück hat die Blaskapelle Brenkhausen letztes Jahr zum 100-jährigen von unserem Spielmannszug “Gut-Freund” Essen-Frintrop in unserer Kirche gespielt und ich kann nur sagen das wir danach fast alle Tränen in den Augen hatten.
